Nicolas Pierce, age 18. He is Tyron's best friend, one of the stars of his school. He's a jock and very good at Ice-Hockey.
Secretly he is gay, not even his best friend knows about that. When he meets Elijah on Tyron's 18th birthday he instantly falls for him, his love being deep and desperate, strenghend by Elijah's aura. They end up in Tyron's bed, only to be caught by him.
Though he plans to stop it Elijah decides to keep seeing Nicolas. He gets what he desperately wants... but from Tyron. He uses Nick as substitute for the one he really loves.
When he can't go on with it he breaks up with the young man, hurting him with words, even hitting him. Nick is broken inside, losing all drive to live.
And then Azrael, Elijah's archenemy, comes for him, telling him about the lies told to him and offering Nick a chance to get what he wants. Azrael turns him into a Vampire and Nick's first victim is supposed to be Tyron.
