Heir to darkness

Revisiting and - heavily - remodeling of my character River Asher. I have his story in mind for years now and look what happened to the late twen and famous horror novelist

Well he is just twenty now and moving back to the little town of Rose Hill where he was born. It's a town in the English countryside and River's family resides in a mansion by the sea. Darkwater Manor was his family's home for several generations until his mother left with him head over heel after an accident that River can't recall. Something happened in his childhood and River has no memory of this event, there's a hole in his memory that his mother refused to fill until the very day she died.
Though having promised her not to River returns to his ancestral home to find his uncle there, being called a crazy hermit by the townsfolk.
River has little time to settle in before his uncle suddenly dies, falling from the cliffs near the mansion at night. Seemingly an accident River doesn't quite believe this and starts to dig into his family's past. Despite his boyfriend Graham trying to stop him River ventures deep into the secrets of Darkwater Manor and finally opens a door that should have remained sealed. The horrors he unleashes are not only a threat to the young man and his relationship but ultimately to all the world...

Well... I really, really love his look now so I guess this finally is a River I can settle with Tell me what you think
